Becoming a Workgroup
Typically, workgroups are formed around the development, implementation or evaluation of a specific project or activity. Each workgroup must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- at least 2 organizations actively involved in project
- project must focus on primary prevention
- project must address one or more of the following risk factors: healthy eating, physical activity, tobacco-free living
- project must not be a one-time event and must include a sustainability plan
Each workgroup is required to submit a Project Overview and Workplan according to pre-determined dates (usually in the Fall each year) and funds are allocated for a period defined by the Ministry of Health Promotion.
There are circumstances that arise that create funding surplus. In these instances, funding may be available to start a new workgroup outside the regular planning cycle. If you are interested in forming a workgroup, please fill in the form by clicking on the link below.
