International Walk to School Day is an annual event held in more than 45 countries around the world.  This year it is Wed. Oct. 5, 2011.  Click here to get your school to participate and use this as a kick-off for other pro walking events. 

Winter Walking Day/Crossing Guard Appreciation Day.   Feb. 15, 2012 is the day of this annual event.  The purpose is to assure people that it is possible to walk to school in any weather. We also honour our crossing guards who play an important role in getting our children to school safely. Region of Waterloo Spring Walk to School Day, Wed. Apr. 18, 2012. is an annual event tied into “Earth Week”.  It provides and opportunity to focus on how our transportation choices impact our environment.                                   2010 Region of Waterloo Walk to School Day

Thank you to all schools who participated in the 2010 Region of Waterloo Walk to School Day and made it a success! Thank you to all schools that registered for the Region of Waterloo Walk to School Day draw. Congratulations go out to John Mahood Public School in Elmira who won the 2010 draw for a $250.00 gift certificate!
