These garden plots are new, tilled with fresh soil in the spring of 2008. Although CCCCG is still in its birthing stage, native plants have been planted to keep it true to the area. Benches allow residents, young and old, to sit and enjoy the progress of this garden. Planting with CCCCG allowed many residents to come out mingle with each other and produce some wonderful fresh vegetables for those summer meals. Look for future information on canning, preserving etc...

Fiddlesticks Farm Community Garden - FULL

This garden is situated on the grounds of the Ferguson Homestead in Cambridge, on a sunny hilltop plot. Having been used a few years in the past, this garden returned in 2006 as a partnership between Avenue Road Baptist Church and Fiddlesticks Neighbourhood Association. Open to anyone who wants to grow their own produce and flowers. This garden is a great place to meet your neighbours! Some of the garden is planted with vegetables to be donated to agencies that provide food security to residents of Cambridge.

Here We Grow! Springbank Farms Community Gardens

Open to: Anyone, including community groups

This land is part of rare Charitable Research Reserve's new Here We Grow! Springbank Farms Community Gardens project. We have a lot of land available, and are developing a series of demonstration gardens that will occupy the space adjacent to the community plots. Although the land is not certified organic, we do not permit the use of pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers. Multiple season reservations can be arranged. We are open to discussing organic project ideas with those who might benefit from the use of tracts of land larger than the average plot size.

Join in and grow together! This sun shining garden sits in the middle of the empty land behind the Popcorn House. The garden will be divided into 10' x 10' plots for organic vegetables and fruits. You may have more than one spot depending on the availability. The Community Centre provides compost and woodchips as well as seeds but one can bring their own seeds if they wish. The garden is backed up by the Popcorn House Community Resource Centre. Check out the calendar - kids may be brought in to join the centre's programs while the parents are gardening. Kids are also welcome to learn and help in the garden.

The UW School of Architecture Community Gardens

This garden was initially designed and implemented in 2007 through a graduate course at the School of Architecture. Open to both the school and the surrounding community, the garden has become a successful public space where members of the school and community alike come together to share and learn. The garden currently has several beds of perennial flowers, herbs and some fruit, while the majority of plots are left open for annual edible plantings every year. The garden is currently run communally, however if members of the school and/or outside community are interested, plots could also be gardened individually. The project is still in its early stages and any support is appreciated. All gardeners, donations and wisdom are welcome!

Waterloo Regional Police Garden Allotment Program

The Waterloo Regional Police Garden is now in its second year of operation.  After a successful first year we are excited to see what will be planted this coming year.  The garden is open to all members of the community, and community groups.  The gardening space is surrounded by flower gardens and benches for visitors to be able to enjoy.  The Waterloo Regional Police Garden is actively accepting interested parties on a first come first serve basis.  Applications can be picked at the front desk of the police station at 176 Hespeler Road in Cambridge
